Double Currency Events (2024)

Not to be confused with Holidays and Special Events.

This page lists any past or current Double Currency events, such as Double Candle and Double Heart events. During these events, the amount of Candles collected or Hearts gifted to players is doubled for a certain period of time, usually lasting a week. These events often occur in conjunction with or alongside a Seasonal Eventor Special Event.The list will be in reverse chronological order, with the most recent at the top.

Double Seasonal Light Event - June 2024[]

A Double Seasonal Light event begins on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continues until Sunday, June 16, 2024 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players can find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Daily Quest Realm.

Double Seasonal Light Event - April 2024[]

A Double Seasonal Light event begins on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continues until Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7), lasting only 5 days. Players can find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Daily Quest Realm.

Double Hearts and Treasure Candle Light Bonanza - April 2024[]

As a thanks to the awesome support from players to help reach PC wishlist milestones last year, there was a Double Hearts and TON of Treasure Candle Light Bonanza that began on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Both the Hearts and the Gifts of Light players sent to each other were be doubled, and players could find a total of 40 Daily Treasure Candles (eight in each Realm from Daylight Prairie through Vault of Knowledge) instead of the usual four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Double Seasonal Light Event - March 2024[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Spirit of Mural.

Days of Love - February 2024[]

Days of Love returned for two weeks with a Double Hearts Event. The event approximately began Monday, February 12, 2024 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8), overlapping with Days of Fortune for three days. Both the Hearts and the Gifts of Light players sent to each other were doubled.

Days of Giving - November 2023[]

Days of Giving returned for one week to double the Hearts and Gifts of Light players sent to each other. The event approximately began Monday, November 20, 2023 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Sunday, November 26, 2023 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). All Hearts and Light Gifts sent while the event was active were doubled for the recipient.

The event also included a doubling of Seasonal Light and Treasure Candles. Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm indicated by the cutscene played when checking in with the Return Shrine Statue at Home, and eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Double Seasonal Light Event - September 2023[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began on Monday, September 25, 2023 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, October 1, 2023 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm indicated by the cutscene played when checking in with the Return Shrine Statue at Home.

Double Seasonal Light and Treasure Candles Event During Special Visit- May 2023[]

A Double Seasonal Light and Double Treasure Candles event began Monday, May 15, 2023 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7) during the Special Visit. Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Passage Guide, and eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Double Hearts and Double Treasure Candles Event - April 2023[]

A Double Hearts and Double Treasure Candles event began Monday, April 10, 2023 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7) after Days of Bloom. Both the Hearts and the Gifts of Light players sent to each other were doubled, and players could find eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Double Treasure Candles and Seasonal Light Event - March 2023[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Monday, March 6, 2023 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). A Double Treasure Candles event began Monday, March 6, 2023 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) also, but continued until Sunday, March 19, 2023 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Remembrance Guide, and eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Days of Love - February 2023[]

Days of Love returned for two weeks with a Double Hearts Event. The event began Monday, February 13, 2023 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). Both the Hearts and the Gifts of Light players sent to each other were doubled.

Days of Giving - November 2022[]

Days of Giving returned for one week to double the Hearts and Gifts of Light players sent to each other. The event approximately began Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Monday, November 28, 2022 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). All Hearts and Light Gifts sent while the event was active were doubled for the recipient.

Unexpectedly, the event also included a doubling of Treasure Candles. Players could find eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles. No official announcement was made concerning this Double Light event, though it could easily be observed in-game.

Double Seasonal Light Event - November 2022[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Monday, November 14, 2022 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Sunday, November 20, 2022 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the AURORA Guide.

Double Seasonal Light Event - September 2022[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Monday, September 12, 2022 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Monday, September 26, 2022 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7) ^[1]. Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Void of Shattering.

Double Seasonal Light Event - August 2022[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) ^[2] and continued until Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Void of Shattering.

Double Treasure Candles and Seasonal Light Event - June 2022[]

A Double Treasure Candles and Double Seasonal Light event began Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Thursday, June 26, 2022 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Performance Guide, and eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Double Treasure Candles and Seasonal Light Event - February 2022[]

A Double Treasure Candles and Double Seasonal Light event began Friday, February 25, 2022 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Abyss Guide, and eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Days of Giving - November 2021[]

Days of Giving returned for one week to double the Hearts and Gifts of Light players sent to each other. The event approximately began Tuesday, November 23, 2020 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Monday, November 29, 2020 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). All Hearts and Light Gifts sent while the event was active were doubled for the recipient.

Unexpectedly, the event also included a doubling of Seasonal Light and Treasure Candles. Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Flight Guide, and eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles. No official announcement was made concerning these Double Light events, though they could easily be observed in-game.

Double Seasonal Light Event - August 2021[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Monday, August 2, 2021 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, August 8, 2021 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Rose.

Double Seasonal Light Event - May 2021[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Monday, May 3, 2021 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles. Additionally, the Sleepy Traveling Merchant’s boat appeared in Home for the duration of the event, allowing players to collect free versions of the all-new Pinwheel Spell to try out. After the event concluded, more Pinwheel Spells were available to exchange for regular Candles in the Spell Shop located in the Forgotten Ark in Golden Wasteland.

Days of Love - February 2021[]

This Valentine's Day inspired event began Friday, February 12, 2021 at 12:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Sunday, February 21, 2021 at 12:00 PST (UTC-8), overlapping with Days of Fortune for a little over a week.

During Days of Love, Home was temporarily transformed into a soft pink scene, and both the Hearts and the Gifts of Light players sent to each other were doubled.

Double Treasure Candles Event - December 2020[]

A Double Treasure Candles event began during Days of Feast on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8), ending the same day as Days of Feast. Players could find eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Days of Giving - November 2020[]

Days of Giving returned for one week to double the Hearts and Gifts of Light players sent to each other. The event approximately began Monday, November 23, 2020 at 12:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Monday, November 30, 2020 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). All Hearts and Light Gifts sent while the event was active were doubled for the recipient.

Double Seasonal Light Event - September 2020[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, September 20, 2020 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7), ending the same day as Season of Sanctuary. Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Sanctuary Guide.

Double Treasure Candles Event - August 2020[]

A Double Treasure Candles event began Monday, August 17, 2020 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, August 23, 2020 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the two selected Realms marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Anniversary Candle Event - July 2020[]

To celebrate both the global launch of Sky: Children of the Light one year ago - and thus the game's first birthday - and Season of Sanctuary's arrival, an ongoing Double Treasure Candles event was extended and a Double Seasonal Light event began Monday, July 13, 2020 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, July 19, 2020 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7), ending the same day as the Sky Anniversary. Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Sanctuary Guide, and eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Double Treasure Candles Event - June 2020[]

A Double Treasure Candles event began Monday, June 22, 2020 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the two selected Realms marked by the two lit Red Candles.

Note: The Double Treasure Candles event was first extended to July 12, and then again to July 19.

Double Seasonal Light Event - June 2020[]

A Double Seasonal Light event began Monday, June 15, 2020 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, June 21, 2020, at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7), ending the same day as Season of Enchantment. Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Enchantment Guide. The event was immediatelyfollowed by a Double Treasure Candles event, detailed above.

Double Heart Event - May 2020[]

In combination with the Days of Healingevent, which was a collaboration between Sky and Doctors Without Borders, a Double Heart event began Monday, May 18, 2020 at 12:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Monday, May 25, 2020 at 12:00PDT (UTC-7).Both the Hearts and the Gifts of Lightplayers sent to each other were doubled.

Notice: Due to a delayed start (and many Hearts which were not doubled) the Double Heart event was extended by 24 hours, and ended Tuesday, May 26 at 12:00 PDT (UTC-7) instead.

Days of Spring - March 2020[]

The Days of Spring Double Treasure Candles event began Monday, March 30, 2020 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Monday, April 13, 2020 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Daily Treasure Candles instead of four in the selected Realm marked by two lit Red Candles. This event was partly released to celebrate the GlobalAndroid Launch on April 7th.

Double Seasonal Light Event - March 2020[]

To celebrate the milestone of reaching 10 million downloads, a Double Seasonal Light event began Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 00:00 PDT (UTC-7) and continued until Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-7). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Rhythm Guide.

Double Heart Event - January 2020[]

Alongside the Lunar New Year Celebrations and the launch for Season of Rhythm, a Double Heart event began Friday, January 24, 2020 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Monday, January 27, 2020 at 23:59 PST (UTC-8). Both the Hearts and the Gifts of Light players sent to each other were doubled.

Double Seasonal Light Event - December 2019[]

In conjunction with Days of Feast, a Double Seasonal Light event began Sunday, December 22, 2019 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 23:59 PDT (UTC-8). Players could find eight Seasonal Candle Bunches instead of four in the selected Realm marked by the Belonging Guide.

Days of Giving - November 2019[]

Days of Giving first arrived for one week as a new event, connected to the ongoing Season of Belonging, to double the Hearts and Gifts of Light players sent to each other. The event approximately began Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 00:00 PST (UTC-8) and continued until Tuesday, December 4, 2019 at 12:00 PST (UTC-8)^[3]. All Hearts and Light Gifts sent while the event was active were doubled for the recipient.
